Funding was awarded from the UCSB Associated Students Coastal Fund for the project "Wastewater Surveillance of SARS-CoV-2 for the Santa Barbara Region". Sampling at the Santa Barbara (El Estero) and Montecito Sanitary District wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) is underway. UCSB's student newspaper, The Daily Nexus, profiled the project here.
